Teachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers, and may include celebrations to honor them for their special contributions in a particular field area, or the community in general.

In some countries, Teacher's Day is a special day to honor teachers. Some of these countries take this day off, and some take it on working days. World Teachers Day is celebrated annually on October 5 since 1994, and it is a commemoration of the signing of the joint recommendation issued by the International Labor Organization and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1966 on the situation of teachers.
