The Egyptian General Authority for Surveying (ESA) is an Egyptian government agency established in 1898. It is specialized in the production, distribution and updating of maps and micro-geographical data, which describe a specific area of the land and show the natural and civilizational features and private lands. As a producer of this type of data, the Commission provides this product in two forms: paper maps and databases, serving a wide range of government agencies and playing a major role in the registration of land ownership and expropriation projects.
