The first wife of king Ramses II ,third King of 19th dynasty (1279 - 1213 BC). She held the title of the Great Royal Wife. Queen Nefertari is depicted on several statues and reliefs, the most famous of her monuments is the small temple of Abu Simble, where the facade is adorned by two huge statues of her, she died in the regnal year 26 of king Ramses II and was buried in her magnificently painted tomb in the Valley of the Queens.
