The port is a coastal facility consisting of one or more harbors, located on the coasts or shores of the seas , oceans , rivers , or lakes , in which unloading and loading of ships is carried out by goods or passengers.
Linguistically, the term port may be used to refer to sea or air ports ( airports ) or land ( crossings ), often referred to as seaports.
